Job summary

John Holland Pty Ltd is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to lead the delivery of civil and rail construction works on the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Rail Upgrade Project. Based at Beerburrum, you will coordinate safety, design compliance and site activities to meet milestones, budget and quality targets.

The role requires a degree-qualified engineer with major infrastructure experience, strong planning, cost control and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer with extensive major infrastructure project delivery ($10M+).
• Proven project engineer with site-based construction in complex civil environments.
• Strong planning, programming, cost control, risk management and commercial delivery.
• Thorough knowledge of safety, quality, environmental, design and contractual management.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to targets.
• Strong communicator with stakeholder engagement, leadership and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the safe and successful delivery of civil and rail construction works.
• Champion a strong safety culture through proactive risk management, environmental compliance, and QA.
• Drive construction progress by coordinating site activities and aligning with milestones.
• Support cost control, forecasting and budget management to maximise performance.
• Lead and manage subcontractors to achieve high safety, quality and productivity.
• Interpret complex engineering designs to facilitate delivery.
• Coordinate procurement and tender activities, engaging subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure full compliance with contractual and project requirements with accurate reporting.
