Job summary

Mercor is assembling a panel of radiological safety experts to red-team frontier AI models, focusing on misuse potential and safe handling of dual-use scenarios. You will write prompts across benign, dual-use, and adversarial levels, and judge model responses against a policy standard.

Role requires clear written reasoning and hands-on experience with radiation safety, licensing, or security considerations. No NDA/export constraints apply; remote work not implied.

Qualifications

• Background includes radiation safety leadership with source custody or licensing.
• Ability to distinguish routine professional questions from dual-use attempts.
• Written technical writing or expert witness experience is preferred.
• Strong writing skills to justify judgments for non-specialists.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging single-turn prompts in your domain, labelled across three levels: benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Evaluate the responses that come back against a defined policy standard, and judge whether each was handled correctly.
• Write the reference answer ; what a correct response looks like, and the technical reasoning for why.
