Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Medical Radiation Practitioner to join NSW Health and provide a wide range of imaging services including CT with minimal supervision. You will work in a team, sharing workloads according to skills, and participate in the department roster including on-call as required.

Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration, an EPA licence to use radiation, and an unrestricted driver’s licence.

Qualifications

Job description

• Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), EPA licence to use radiation (IA1and unrestricted drivers' licence with the ability to maintain.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people. Ability to provide a wide range of imaging services, including CT, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work within a team, and share the allocation of workloads according to skills and competencies, and to participate in the department roster including on-call as required.
• Ability to interpret request information, select the most appropriate protocol and adapt imaging if necessary.
• Evidence of ongoing involvement in continued professional development.
• Working knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures affecting medical imaging.
• Experience working in a range of clinical settings.
