Job summary

Showtime Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Lead with a strong QA and manual testing background to lead testing across large-scale technology programs in Australia. You will manage QA teams, set testing standards, and collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities include designing comprehensive test plans, overseeing field and lab testing, defect management in JIRA, and mentoring junior testers while driving testing

Qualifications

• Experience in QA leadership and managing testing activities.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and QA practices.
• Proven experience with QXDM and defect management.
• Experience designing test plans, strategies, and test cases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with mobile application testing and automation is advantageous.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead with a strong background in Quality Assurance and Manual Testing to lead testing activities across large-scale technology programs.

This role is responsible for managing QA teams, establishing testing best practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products and services. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, engineers, and project teams while providing technical leadership across field testing, lab testing, defect management, and quality assurance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilise QXDM to analyse, investigate, and troubleshoot issues impacting devices and applications.
• Lead and manage QA teams to deliver high-quality testing outcomes.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases.
• Coordinate and oversee field testing and lab testing activities.
• Manage defect lifecycles using JIRA and ensure timely resolution of testing issues.
• Collaborate with development, engineering, and business teams to improve product quality.
• Provide testing insights and recommendations throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor QA team members and promote testing best practices.
• Monitor testing progress, risks, and quality metrics across projects.
• Support release activities and ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to project planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication activities.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience with QXDM as a deal breaker skill.
• Experience in quality assurance, testing, or software quality management.
• Proven experience leading QA teams and managing testing activities.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
• Hands-on experience using QXDM for troubleshooting and analysis is essential.
• Experience conducting field testing and lab testing activities.
• Strong experience using JIRA for defect management and project tracking.
• Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with mobile application testing is highly regarded.
• Experience with automation testing tools is advantageous.
• Experience with performance testing and load testing will be highly regarded.
• Ability to mentor junior testers and promote testing best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
