Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Quarry Front Loader Operator with sales loading experience for an immediate start on a 6.5-week contract in the Bacchus Marsh area. You will load external trucks and contribute to high-volume material handling on the quarry floor.

Ideal candidates will hold a RIIMPO Front End Loader ticket, have CAT 980/WA500 experience, and demonstrate a strong safety mindset with pre-start checks and risk assessments. Overtime opportunities available on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Availability for the full 6.5-week duration starting 22 July.
• Proven experience operating front end loaders in quarry or asphalt yard.
• Mandatory RIIMPO Front End Loader ticket (LL).
• Experience with large production loaders (CAT 980 / Komatsu WA500 or larger).
• Able to manage legal payload weights and liaise with external drivers.
• Pass a mining/quarry medical, including spirometry and drug/alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Load sales and production loads onto road transport trucks, tippers, and plant hoppers.
• Manage finished product stockpiles and assist with material blending.
• Maintain safe, clean work zones around conveyors and plant.
• Conduct pre-start checks and report loader faults.
• Uphold safety and environmental policies on site.

Quarry Front Loader Operator with Sales Loading experience

Are you an experienced, safety-focused Front End Loader Operator with a sharp eye for precision? We are seeking a reliable plant operator for an immediate start, 6.5-week contract commencing on the 22nd of July.

In this short-term role, you will hit the ground running, focusing on high-volume material handling, shifting stock, and running sales loading operations. You will be responsible for loading external customer semi-trailers, tippers, and haul trucks efficiently while acting as a key point of contact on the quarry floor.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for quick, high-yield earnings with a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule and plenty of overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Production Loading: Proficiently operate large production loaders to efficiently load road transport trucks, customer tippers, and plant hoppers.
• Material Handling & Stockpiling: Manage finished product stockpiles, blend materials, and maintain clean, safe work zones under conveyor belts and around the plant.
• Precision Weight Safety: Utilize on-board loader scales to precisely load highway trucks to legal axle limits, ensuring no underloading or illegal overloading.
• Maintenance & Compliance: Conduct thorough, mandatory pre-start inspections on your loader and report any faults immediately.
• Safety & Environment: Actively promote and adhere to rigid health, safety, and environmental site policies, ensuring a zero-harm environment for yourself and your team.

What We Are Looking For

• Availability: Must be available for the full 6.5-week duration starting 22nd July.
• Proven Experience: Solid background operating front end loaders within a high-volume Quarry or Asphalt Yard environment.
• Valid Ticket: Mandatory RIIMPO national competency (or equivalent) for Front End Loader (LL).
• Big Machinery Capabilities: Demonstrated experience operating large production loaders equivalent to a CAT 980 / Komatsu WA500 size or larger.
• Sales Loader Mindset: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude, with proven experience dealing with external truck drivers and managing legal payload weights.
• Safety First Mindset: A proactive, positive attitude toward safety policies, risk assessments, and take-5s.
• Fit-for-Work: Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment mining/quarry medical assessment, including respiratory surveillance (spirometry) and a drug and alcohol screen.
