Job summary

SCCSI in Sydney seeks a senior associate director-level professional to support its quantum experts. The role involves leading the preparation of technical and expert reports, advising on client strategy, and serving as a trusted advisor on dispute resolution for construction and insurance clients.

You will quantify cost overruns and damages, perform take-off measurements, delay analyses, and draft extensions of time and disruption claims for large projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, construction management or related field.
• At least ten years with a construction or engineering contractor or specialist consultancy.
• Experience writing or contributing to quantum expert reports.
• Experience with arbitration or formal claims resolution is highly regarded.
• MRICS achieved or in progress desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead assistant to quantum experts, overseeing technical reports and expert reports.
• Quantify cost overruns and damages, including take-offs, delay analysis and estimate preparation.
• Draft and manage extensions of time, prolongation and disruption claims for large-scale projects.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development.
