About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Adelaide team. This is a client‑facing role where you’ll provide clear, accurate advice and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Our work is primarily in the insurance sector, providing cost advice on property and infrastructure damage, preparing reinstatement cost estimates, reviewing contractor quotations, and supporting fair and timely claim resolutions. While prior insurance experience is an advantage, it is not essential if you are eager to learn.

You will:

  • Conduct detailed assessments of property and infrastructure damage
  • Review and validate contractor quotations, scopes of work, and variation claims
  • Prepare reinstatement cost estimates, tender analyses, and recommendations
  • Attend site visits and client/consultant meetings
  • Provide independent cost advice to insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to business development by maintaining and growing client relationships
  • Prepare clear, professional reports that stand up to scrutiny
  • Support dispute resolution with expert cost analysis and commentary

What we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • RICS or AIQS membership (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain complex issues clearly
  • Commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience in a client‑facing role
  • Business development skills and confidence in networking
  • Insurance sector knowledge (advantageous) or willingness to learn
  • Be part of a supportive, professional team that values accuracy, integrity, and expertise
  • Work in a varied role with exposure to interesting projects and claims
  • Opportunities for professional growth, including mentoring and development

If you’re a confident communicator who thrives on delivering high-quality advice and building strong relationships, we’d like to hear from you.
