A global quantitative trading firm is seeking a Quantitative Systematic Trader in Australia. The role requires a PhD in a quantitative field and strong analytical and coding skills, particularly in Python. You will collaborate with teams to develop and monitor trading strategies in a fast-paced environment. The firm offers a competitive salary, extensive benefits including healthcare and gym allowances, and a non-hierarchical culture fostering growth and impact.
We’re looking for quant‑minded strategists who value interdisciplinary knowledge and cooperative thinking. Our Quantitative Systematic Traders combine quantitative research with trading to develop electronic strategies and monitor real‑time performance. As a hybrid of core disciplines, Quantitative Systematic Traders constantly communicate and connect ideas between trading, technology, and quantitative research.
The general life cycle of a quant project begins with an idea:
We have a comprehensive orientation program designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Education topics include an introduction to options pricing, exposure to our proprietary data sets, and opportunities to practice data analysis techniques. Beyond orientation, our trading floor serves as an unlimited source of discussion for learning and development.
By applying to this role, you will be automatically considered for the Quantitative Researcher position. There is no need to apply to both positions in order to be considered for both.

Susquehanna’s deep integration of trading, technology, and quant research makes us experts in trading essentially all listed financial products and asset classes, with a focus on derivatives. We handle millions of trading transactions around the world every day as both a market maker and market taker. Our efforts provide liquidity and ensure competitive prices for buyers and sellers.
