The Opportunity

We are seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join our Investment Governance & Research team, part of the broader Investment Solutions division at Netwealth.

This is a great opportunity for an investment professional with around 2 years’ experience who enjoys working with data and wants to build their career in quantitative investment analysis and research.

Your background includes:

  • 2 or more years’ experience in quantitative analysis, investment research, performance analysis, data analytics or a related financial services role

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, data science or a related discipline

  • Experience working with investment data and an understanding of investment performance, risk and portfolio concepts

  • Exposure to investment analytics or research platforms such as FactSet or Morningstar Direct would be highly regarded

  • Strong Excel skills and some experience with analytical or coding tools such as Python, R or SQL

  • Ability to work with datasets, identify trends and translate quantitative analysis into meaningful insights

  • Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of data quality

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings to different audiences

  • Exposure to investment governance, managed funds, managed accounts, superannuation or investment platforms would be beneficial
