Job summary

Costello Executive is partnering with a leading Australian health and wellness business to appoint an experienced Head of Quality. This is a strategic, leadership role responsible for quality across complementary medicines, nutraceuticals and food manufacturing.

You will influence strategy, regulatory alignment and operational excellence at a high level. You will lead a multidisciplinary quality team, ensure robust QMS, oversee TGA and GMP compliance, and drive continuous improvement while

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in quality within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of TGA regulations and PIC/S GMP.
• Proven track record leading regulatory audits and inspections.
• Strategic thinker with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in food manufacturing, HACCP/SQF is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own Quality Management Systems, regulatory compliance and governance across the business.
• Oversee regulatory requirements and quality governance, including audits and risk management.

Senior Leadership Opportunity - Pharmaceutical & Complementary Medicine Manufacturing

We're partnering with a highly successful Australian business in the Health and Wellness Space to appoint an experienced Head of Quality to take ownership of the entire function across complementary medicines, nutraceuticals and food manufacturing.

This is far more than a compliance role. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll play a critical role in shaping quality strategy, strengthening regulatory frameworks and driving operational excellence across a complex, highly regulated manufacturing environment.

You'll have the autonomy, authority and executive support to influence meaningful change, lead a capable team and ensure quality remains at the heart of the organisation's continued growth.

The Opportunity

The incumbent will lead and develop a multidisciplinary Quality team, driving capability, accountability and continuous improvement:

• Take ownership of Quality Management Systems, regulatory compliance and quality governance across the business.
• Oversee TGA, GMP, food-safety and relevant regulatory requirements, ensuring the business maintains the highest standards.
• Lead regulatory inspections, audits, investigations and risk management initiatives.
• Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to influence strategic and operational decisions.
• Support new product development, manufacturing expansion and the introduction of new technologies and capabilities.
• Champion a proactive quality culture that balances regulatory integrity with commercial and operational objectives.

About You

You're an accomplished Quality professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership, sound judgement and commercial awareness.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Significant Quality leadership experience within pharmaceutical, complementary medicine or similarly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong working knowledge of TGA regulations, PIC/S GMP and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing regulatory audits and driving continuous improvement.
• The confidence to influence senior stakeholders, challenge decisions constructively and navigate complex operational environments.
• A strategic mindset, with the ability to see beyond compliance and contribute to broader business performance.
• Experience across food manufacturing, HACCP/SQF frameworks or formal TGA nominee responsibilities will be highly regarded.
