Job summary

Anduril Industries in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the Quality team. You will inspect incoming materials, in-process items and final products to ensure quality specifications are met and support product traceability.

You will troubleshoot issues, raise non-conformance tickets, coordinate calibrations, and participate in internal and external audits while coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers to uphold AS9100/ISO9001 standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and wire diagrams/MBD drawings.
  • GD&T knowledge and interpretation of dimensions and tolerancing.
  • Inspection of CNC machined parts, weldments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Inspection of electrical/electronic components (PCBs, wire harnesses).
  • Experience in facilities with AS9100/ISO9001 or similar QMS.
  • Ability to communicate across cross-functional teams and with suppliers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Propose and implement QA policies and procedures with engineers.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects for productivity and quality gains.

Anduril’s Quality organisation is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in Sydney, Australia. The Quality team works with our internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure the deployment of reliable products that meet all mission requirements. The Quality Inspector will support the Manufacturing/Production teams, and be responsible for learning and executing detailed inspection processes necessary to ensure a quality product in a timely manner. Some of the daily duties will include inspecting incoming materials, equipment, and products to ensure quality specifications are met. Additionally, you’ll investigate/ troubleshoot product and production issues, raise non‑conformance tickets for triage, support product traceability, take corrective action as well as implement standards/ specifications/ processes cross‑functionally with Quality Teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Work in a modern manufacturing environment on incoming inspection, in-process inspection and end of line inspection
  • Support Material review board processes
  • Propose, develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and review with the product quality and manufacturing engineers
  • Review and propose continuous improvement projects for productivity gains, quality improvements, and benefits to Anduril's quality policy
  • Support the calibration process of test equipment, jigs and fixtures. Coordinate calibration
  • Support internal and external audits on processes and procedures
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with Calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Scanning, torque, multimeters etc.)
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings (wire diagrams, work instructions, MBD drawings)
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge, understanding dimension and tolerancing
  • Experience with inspection of CNC machined parts, fabricated weldments and mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with inspection of Electrical and Electronic Components (PCBs, wire-harnesses)
  • Experience in a facility with AS9100, ISO9001 or similar QMS standard
  • Experience with communicating in cross functional teams and with suppliers as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical or Associates degree in related quality/ mechanical/ aerospace engineering field
  • IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 Certification
  • Experience with Manufacturing processes and their related systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, CAD)
  • Experience with auditing processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Detail oriented self starter with minimal oversight - strong ability to communicate with different cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements and processes
  • Knowledge of with Maritime vessel requirements
  • Experience with validation and testing assemblies and their components
