Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary degree in food science, microbiology or a related scientific field.
  • Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of GLP and ISO 17025 is an advantage.
  • Experience in performing test method modification or suitability testing.
  • Previous experience in a NATA or CNAS accredited laboratory is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental sampling using swabbing techniques following established protocols.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of sampling details including location, time, date, and conditions.
  • Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Prepare and handle sampling equipment and materials.
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of samples for testing.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to address discrepancies.

Our client is urgently looking to introduce a Quality Control technician to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make the move from the production floor to a technical role within the manufacturing industry.

  • Prepare and handle sampling equipment and materials
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of samples for testing laboratories
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and address any discrepancies or issues.
Desired skills and experience
  • You will have a relevant tertiary degree in food science, microbiology or a related scientific field
  • Experience in production or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of GLP and ISO 17025 is advantage
