Job summary

Oceanus Plumbing and Roofing Pty Ltd – Wollongong NSW is seeking an Experienced Fully Qualified Roofer/Roof Tiler to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work on a diverse mix of commercial, residential, and school projects and take pride in your workmanship on every job.

Applicants must hold a Roof Tiling qualification (Cert III), have proven experience on tiled roofs and metal roofing, carry a White Card and a current Australian Driver's Licence; WWCC is required for school

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in roof tiling (Cert III) is required.
• Proven experience on residential and commercial tiled roofs; metal roofing experience a plus.
• White Card (Construction Induction) and a current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain for school projects.
• Possession of standard hand tools; reliability and detail-oriented work ethic.
• EWP ticket is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and diagnose roof leaks on tiled roofs, including maintenance and repair.
• Install Colorbond flashings, fascia, downpipes, and guttering to high standards.
• Read and interpret site plans and structural drawings accurately.
• Work efficiently with colleagues to complete jobs on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe worksite; follow OHS guidelines.
• Operate safely at heights and comply with site-specific safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

About you

Trade Qualification in Roof Tiling (Cert III).

Proven experience working on residential and commercial tiled roofs and experience in metal roofing.

Construction Induction Card (White Card) and a current Australian Driver's License.

Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to get one for school projects.

Has all the standard hand tools of the trade.

Reliability, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket is highly desired, but not mandatory.
