Job summary

The Midfield Group in Warrnambool, VIC is seeking a safety-conscious Qualified Plumber to join the onsite maintenance team. You will work with tradespeople to install and service hot and cold-water systems, drainage, gas services, and related plumbing duties.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, installing sanitary and water systems, gas fittings, and completing final fit-offs with quality workmanship. Gas licence is preferred; right to work in Australia is required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or 4th year apprenticeship completed.
• Solid knowledge of the Plumbing Code and Australian standards.
• Gas fitting licence is preferred but not essential.
• Strong experience in maintenance plumbing or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Right to work in Australia (38 hours/week).
• Q Fever vaccination or willingness to participate in vaccination program.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and installing hot and cold-water systems and associated equipment.
• Undertake storm water and sewer installations.
• Rough-In water and gas services.
• Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout and materials.
• Design and install sanitary plumbing and water supply systems and fixtures.
• Assemble and install mechanical services, air handling and conditioning equipment.
• Install sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems.
• Install below-ground drainage systems and ground support systems.
• Install gas appliances, flues and pressure regulating devices.
• Fabricate and install metal roofing, rainwater goods and flashings.
• Penetration and inground service installations.
• Final fit-off and finishing with high quality work.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures and quality control methods.
• Read and interpret plans/drawings.
