Job summary

Express Employment Professionals – Canberra ACT is seeking a fully qualified and licensed plumber to join our client's team. You will carry out installation, maintenance, and repairs across commercial, government, aged care, and other sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The role requires a current ACT plumbing licence (or equivalent) and backflow prevention / TMV accreditation (essential or willing to obtain).

Qualifications

• Current plumbing licence (ACT or equivalent).
• Backflow Prevention and TMV accreditation (essential or willing to obtain).
• Proven experience in commercial and/or maintenance plumbing.
• Strong understanding of compliance and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general plumbing installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Diagnose faults and complete efficient, high-quality repairs.
• Install, test, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Conduct backflow prevention and TMV servicing/testing.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
• Complete documentation and job reporting accurately.
• Work safely in line with WHS requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair works across commercial, government, aged care, and many other sites. • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher)
• Police check - or able to obtain
• WWVP card - or able to obtain

Desirable (Nice to Have)

• Experience working on Defence or government contracts
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs
