Qualifications

• Current qualification as an Automotive Spray Painter or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in spray painting vehicles in a professional repair workshop.
• Strong knowledge of paint systems, primers and coatings.
• Proficiency with spray equipment and tools.
• Ability to achieve high-quality, consistent finishes with attention to detail.
• Understanding of colour matching and blending techniques.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to automotive spray painting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
• Mix and apply primer, paint, and protective coatings using spray equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Operate spray guns and related equipment to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes across all vehicle types.
• Perform colour matching and blending to ensure seamless repairs and consistent appearance.
• Inspect completed work to identify any defects and perform touch-ups or repainting as required.
• Maintain and clean spray equipment, booths, and work areas to comply with health and safety standards.
• Follow environmental and workplace safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Communicate with workshop management regarding job progress, material requirements, and any technical challenges.
• Document work completed and ensure accurate record-keeping for quality assurance purposes.
