Job summary

Collabora Productivity is seeking a detail-oriented QA Specialist to ensure the quality and reliability of our products and services. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify issues, perform thorough testing, and contribute to process improvements.

The role requires hands-on testing across multi-tier web applications, strong Linux experience, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and Git. You will help define QA standards, participate in regular calls, and support customers

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software quality assurance with a focus on manual testing.
• Strong QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• 4-5 years Linux experience including compiling software, command line and debugging tools.
• Knowledge and experience of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Experience with test automation tools is a plus (e.g., Cypress, Cppunit).

Responsibilities

• Find a cause of the issue and test to check the fix works in a complex environment involving multi-tier web applications.
• Perform functional, regression and performance testing to identify and report defects or inconsistencies in product functionality.
• Collaborate with product development and project management teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects.
• Document and track test results, issues and resolution efforts to ensure clear communication and visibility of QA activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions.
• Contribute to the establishment and enhancement of quality assurance standards and best practices within the organization.
• Active participation on regular internal QA calls.
• Hands-on troubleshooting sessions with customers via video conferencing and/or remote desktop tools.
• "Can do” attitude in different situations.
