Job summary

SunDrive in Australia is seeking an early-career professional to operate the production line and collaborate with our mechanical and mechatronics teams in the photovoltaics space.

You will conduct hands-on experiments, perform post-result analyses, and contribute to the characterisation of solar cells to advance patented technology, while growing in the renewable energy sector. The role offers hands-on learning, rigorous data handling, and opportunities to contribute to scaling up production.

Qualifications

• Experience in a PV lab or solar cell manufacturing environment.
• Ability to design and analyse large experiments (100+ samples).
• Experience with experimental reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prepare production runs for safe, efficient operations.
• Operate and monitor equipment on lab and production lines.
• Handle materials and chemicals, manage stock records per procedures.
• Perform routine characterisation and basic analysis; escalate unexpected results.
• Prepare experimental and production reports.
• Track production yield metrics for each run.
• Maintain equipment and chemical systems per training.
• Conduct routine chemical sampling and report out-of-tolerance results.
• Maintain production, quality, and maintenance records.
• Collaborate to keep lab and production operations safe and efficient.
• Follow workplace health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
