Job summary

Argo Natural Resources is seeking an on-site Purchasing Coordinator in the Bowen Basin region of Queensland. You will work across multiple sites within the Argo Complex to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, maintaining records and coordinating with suppliers and on-site teams to support continuous operational performance.

The role requires experience in purchasing systems, strong communication across levels, and a proactive approach to expediting orders.

Qualifications

• Previous demonstrated experience in a similar position.
• Experience within the mining/construction industry is highly desirable but not essential.
• Must have experience in relevant purchase order systems/software.
• Ability to tailor communication to all levels of the business and can build relationships with various departmental on-site Coordinators, Superintendents and external suppliers.
• Have a positive can-do attitude with strong initiative to ensure all orders are followed up, efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site operations this position with work closely with on-site personnel and stakeholders to ensure materials and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time to support continuous operational performance.
• Proactively manage and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and minimise operational delays.
• Raise and process accurate Purchase Orders through requisition and reorder systems.
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers, warehouse teams, and site departments for seamless supply chain coordination.
• Ensuring accurate records and purchasing documentation is maintained in line with company procedures and the system processes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role sits within the Argo Complex, an integrated support function bringing together the Carborough Downs Bord and Pillar mine, Ironbark No.1 Longwall mine, Broadlea Open Cut, and a centralised CHPP. Working across these sites, you'll play a key part in providing critical on-site support for purchasing activities in a dynamic environment that offers exposure to multiple facets of our operations.
