Job summary

Accor Apartments & Realty in Cairns region is seeking a Public Area Attendant to keep our hotel’s shared spaces sparkling.

You will clean indoor and outdoor areas including pool and gym, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and assist guests with questions while coordinating with maintenance and other teams.

We expect reliable team players who take pride in detail, communicate warmly with guests, and can work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or guest-facing roles is preferred.
• Warm, welcoming communication with guests.
• Good attention to detail and pride in tasks.
• Able to work in indoor and outdoor areas and stairs.
• Reliable transportation and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas inside and outside.
• Spruce up pool, gym, and shared bathrooms to high standards.
• Handle equipment and chemicals safely.
• Assist guests with inquiries and refer issues to maintenance.
• Communicate with other departments to complete tasks.
