Healthcarelink Support seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Oncology ward in Melbourne on a part-time basis. You will deliver nursing care, supervise ENs and AINs, and provide education to patients for recovery and end-of-life needs.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) and current AHPRA registration.
• Desirable 2+ years of oncology experience.
• ACQSHC National standards compliance.
• Antineoplastic drug administration qualification desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care.

As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs
• Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice

It is a state-of-the-art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. – including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services.

About You

• Authority to Work in Australia
• Working with Children Check
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
• Demonstrated experience administering infusions
• 2+ years oncology experience (desirable)
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
• Antineoplastic Drug Administration qualification (desirable, onsite ADAC training and education available to suitable applicants)
