Job title : Psychology Team Manager - Clinic-Based - Flexible Work Hours

Working hours : Full-time / Part-time position

Salary : Up to $140,000 per annum + super + benefits

Location : Melbourne

Roles & Responsibilities

The Companyis an award-winning allied health care centre with 4 state-of-the-art clinics throughout Melbourne. The clinics offer a range of onsite, remote, and in-home services to clients receiving Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Dietetics and Allied Heath care services.

Due to the exciting growth, they currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Psychology Team Manager to join their team. In this role, you will have the choice of working on and off-site to manage your own caseload. You will possess strong clinical skills with the ability to follow through as well as the ability to co-manage clients with different health professionals in a dynamic team environment.

As a Psychology Team Manager, you will be responsible for

Provide therapeutic sessions to referred clients using evidence-based interventions

  • Develop tailored treatment plans for referred clients using prior knowledge and research skills
  • Collate handouts for referred clients for homework and therapeutic aids
  • Complete electronic client notes and reports for sessions to an appropriate standard as outlined by APS Code of Ethics / Supervisor standards
  • Write letters to other health professionals and external agencies to assist the client in continual access to health and other services
  • Prepare for and attend weekly clinical supervision sessions as per AHPRA guidelines
  • Attend professional development in accordance with AHPRA registration requirements
  • Comply with subpoena or court appearance request on behalf of referred clients
  • Attend case conferences for referred clients to assist in service provision
  • Taking on more COMPLEX clients
  • Seeing a greater variety of clients of all types
  • Give opportunity to new grads to observe
  • Be a buddy for Prov Psychs
  • Participate in MDT training and workshops
  • Begin to build skills in particular clinical areas
  • Provide mentoring and supervision for physio and new grad physios
You will also be responsible for
  • Recruitment for staff in the team across all sites
  • Management of KPIs for all staff in the team as well as team performance

  • Taking on very complex and serious cases where seniors are unable to
  • Hiring and firing of staff
  • Resource management and budget allocation as per HEAH
