Job summary

Kilmore Medical Practice is looking for a psychologist to join as an independent contractor to provide psychological services to our patients. You will operate on a 60% of psychology billing basis and work from the clinic's consulting room with admin support.

Work is scheduled Mon–Sat with referrals from five GPs; bulk billing is current, private fees may be charged at practitioner discretion. This role offers flexibility as demand grows and schedule expands.

Qualifications

• Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA is required.
• Own professional indemnity insurance is required.
• Current Working with Children Check / Police Check is required.
• Relevant contractor's insurance / ABN for invoicing.
• CPD compliant with AHPRA/Board requirements.

Job description

Kilmore Medical Practice is an eleven-consultation room medical practice that has been providing care for its community since 2010. The medical clinic provides general practice, osteopathy, psychology, audiology, and dietitian services to the Kilmore and surrounding community. We are seeking a psychologist to join our team on a contract basis to provide psychological services to our patients.

Position Summary

• Position type: Independent contractor / sessional.
• Patient intake avenues: The practitioner will receive a constant stream of referrals from our 5 working GPs. The services will be advertised on the clinic’s physical outdoor sign and the clinic’s website.
• Hours/Sessions: Patients will be booked on a weekly basis between Monday and Saturday (per psychologist availability). With progression, the psychologist can increase their number of workdays as per their availability.
• Billing Rate: The clinic is currently bulk billing psychology services; however, private fees may be charged at the discretion of the practitioner.
