Job summary

Mater Health Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate HP3 Psychologist to join the Mater Adults Psychology Service on a temporary basis to provide maternity leave coverage.

The role is based at our South Brisbane campus, commencing from 4th January for up to 6 months, delivering specialist psychological assessment, risk assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to inpatients and outpatients with health-related psychological needs.

Qualifications

• General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) / AHPRA is required.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical, Clinical Neuro, Educational & Developmental or Health Psychology are desirable.
• Working towards or attained PsyBA supervisor endorsement or area of practice endorsement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Independently undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols to achieve patient focused outcomes.
• Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision.
• Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes.
