Job summary

The Australian Psychological Society Limited in Canberra is seeking a dynamic Psychologist to join the Eating Disorders Program (EDP) as an Eating Disorder Therapist. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions across children, adolescents and adults within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team.

Qualifications

Aboutthe Role:

Join a specialistmultidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting children, adolescents and adultson their recovery journey from eating disorders. The Eating Disorders Program(EDP) is a tertiary outpatient service providing comprehensive assessment and evidence-basedtreatment for individuals whose primary presenting issue is an eating disorder.

We are seeking adynamic and experienced Psychologist to join our team as an Eating DisorderTherapist. In this role, you will undertake comprehensive assessments anddeliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents andadults, including both individual and family-based treatment. Working within arecovery-oriented framework, you will collaborate closely with a range ofmental health professionals to provide high-quality, person-centred care.

The successfulcandidate will play an important role in supporting and developing theworkforce through the provision of clinical support and supervision to HealthProfessional Level 1 clinicians, Allied Health Assistants and students. Youwill actively contribute to professional development activities, clinicalsupervision, quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary teamprocesses that strengthen service delivery and client outcomes.

This position offersthe opportunity to work across a specialised and highly regarded service whilealso contributing to the broader Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services(CAMHS) program. The role may include occasional support to the Eating DisordersClinical Hub (EDCH) and requires flexibility to work across all CAMHS programareas in response to service needs.

• Undergo a pre-employmentNational Police Check.
• Comply with Canberra HealthServices Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
• Comply with CHS credentialingand scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.

Note:

Thisposition is part-time at (14.7) hours per week and?the full-time salary notedabove will be pro-rata. The position includes the offer to increase tofull-time hours for a temporary 12-month period, with possibility of extensionand/or permanency.
