  • Degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology required.
  • Current AHPRA registration required.
  • Minimum 5 years post-registration experience delivering psychological assessments and interventions.
  • Experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and complex psychosocial needs.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice and evidence-based therapies.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage with stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality and professionalism.

Job description

  • Location: Perth
  • 1 day per week, onsite

In this role you will play a key role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of people in detention. You will deliver evidence-based psychological assessments, interventions, and support strategies, while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, person-centred care.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing psychological support programs, creating tailored supportive monitoring and engagement plans, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to promote positive mental health outcomes across the facility.

Lets talk about you!

  • A degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology and current AHPRA registration.
  • At least 5 years’ post-registration experience delivering psychological assessment and intervention services.
  • Experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and complex psychosocial needs.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice, cultural responsiveness, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
