The purpose of this role is to provide psychological assessment and intervention to patients receiving care through Ipswich Hospital and Community Health. The Ipswich Psychology Service delivers clinical, health, and neuropsychology services to adult and paediatric inpatients and outpatients of Ipswich Hospital and Community Health.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Psychology clinical expertise and skill within a health setting.
• Knowledge of the provision of psychology services in a community health and/or hospital-based service.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in application to effective communication with patients, Psychologists, and multi-disciplinary team members in a hospital and/or community health setting.
• Ability to identify areas for service development and actively contribute to quality improvement and clinical research activities.
• Honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.

Mandatory Requirements

• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia
