The Royal Melbourne Hospital is offering 12-month, full-time Psychiatry Registrar positions at Stage 2 or Stage 3 or unaccredited/pre-vocational levels. The role includes rotations across inpatient units, community mental health teams, and allied services with on-call duties and a strong focus on training and research.

Applicants should hold General Registration with AHPRA and have experience in mental health settings; mult-disciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care are essential

Qualifications

• General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Stage 2 or Stage 3 RANZCP Psychiatry trainee; desirably with Child and Adolescent and Consultation Liaison Stage 2 rotations.
• Essential: at least 6 months experience working in a mental health setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting or in the community with an integrated community care model.
• Have a high level of interpersonal and communications skills and demonstrated ability to consult and liaise with consumers, carers, family members and other professionals.

Responsabilités

• Accredited/Unaccredited psychiatry training positions across units including inpatient, community, PARCs/CCUs, and emergency services.
• Completion of ward/community paperwork, discharge summaries and legal paperwork under MH Act.
• Attendance at Mental Health Tribunal hearings as required.
• Opportunities to pursue research, further study or other interests.
