Zusammenfassung

Bankstown Hospital, part of South Western Sydney Local Health District, is recruiting for a Provisional Fellow in Upper GI Surgery to deliver the full range of Upper GI procedures for acute and elective patients and to advance surgical education.

The successful applicant will hold MBBS and be registered or eligible to register with the Medical Board of Australia; FRACS or equivalent is preferred, with a strong commitment to teaching, teamwork and after-hours availability.

What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of the Fellow position is to provide full range of Upper GI surgical procedures for both acute and elective patients and to enhance knowledge and skill in Surgery disciplines.

• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• FRACS or assessed as substantially or partially equivalent, Preference will be given to trainees with a commitment to sub specialty Upper GI Surgery.
• High commitment to education.
• Good communication skills and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours duty and on-call rosters.
• Demonstrated commitment in support and teaching Junior medical staff.

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time

Remuneration: As per Health Professional and Medical Salaries (State) Award 2023
