About the Team
The Property Team provide property, facilities and specified corporate services for the Commission’s offices nationally. On a strategic level, the role of the Property Team on a 24/7 and 365 day basis to ensure the provision of a safe, secure and enjoyable workspace environment for staff, visitors and third parties across the Commission’s property portfolio.
About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide support to a range of property policy, capital works and office relocation projects nationally.
Position Duties
- Provide support to the Assistant Director and Director, Property in the delivery of property capital works projects, minor capital works, lease management, office relocation projects and property policy projects nationally.
- Assist the Assistant Director and Director with the coordination and management of property project related procurement contracts in compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Commission procurement policies and processes, including preparation of relevant procurement approval briefs.
- Coordinate property project budgets, including tracking and reporting on project costs and managing project compliancy and risk in consultation with the Commission’s Property Services Provider (PSP), Evolve FM, as appointed project managers.
- Manage all relevant property project documentation, including scope and concept designs, tender documentation, As Builts and Practical Completion documentation in liaison with the Commission’s Property Services Provider (PSP), Evolve FM, as appointed project managers and ensuring all project documentation and records are appropriately filed and maintained in SharePoint.
- Draft property project related staff communications, including emails, property bulletins, briefs and reports.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, internal and external service providers and stakeholders.
- Other duties as required to support the wider Property team and functions.
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria)
- A minimum of five years demonstrated experience in property project management, including the management of capital works projects and office relocation projects within government.
- Demonstrated knowledge and significant experience with government procurement processes, including Commonwealth Procurement Rules and contract management.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work with broad supervision to identify project priorities to meet competing deadlines.
- Highly effective written communication skills with demonstrated experience drafting a range of written material, including internal staff communications, briefs and reports.
- Ability to communicate with influence and work with limited direction to resolve complex project issues.
Role Specific Requirements
- Minimum of a Baseline security clearance or ability to obtain a minimum of Baseline security clearance.
- The role may be worked flexibly, however office attendance is required several days per week and will be required more regularly at times to support on-site project delivery.
- Some national travel will be required periodically to support on-site project delivery.
- Some after-hours work will be required periodically to support on-site project delivery.
Note: Please note this position will be initially filled in a non ongoing capacity
Position Notes
- Salary offered will be between $96,503 - $108,869per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

- Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
