You will be joining a team dedicated to supporting recovery and restoration works following major natural disasters, ensuring vital infrastructure is restored for Queenslanders.

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Support Officer to provide high-level administrative, document control and governance support to project managers involved in emergent and restoration activities. In this role, you will leverage your strong organisational skills and proficiency across multiple software systems to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with departmental policies, legislation and reporting requirements.

You will assist with essential tasks such as document control, QRA submission tracking, RADAR updates, financial administration, governance reporting, project scheduling and preparing documentation for Project Managers. Your contribution will ensure the timely delivery of critical road infrastructure recovery projects across the district.

About You
  • Proven experience providing administrative support in a busy, fast‑paced project or operational environment.
  • Strong organisational, coordination and multitasking skills, with an honest, collaborative and team‑focused approach.
  • Working knowledge of records management principles, standards and best practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency across the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and confidence in learning and using various business systems and databases.
  • The ability to support project governance, reporting, finance processes and document management with accuracy and reliability.
