Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Acquisition Sustainment Unit Product Management Support (PSO) role at RAAF Williamtown. You will assist the ASU Lead with sustainment planning, program governance, and financial management to ensure smooth introduction into service and ongoing support.

The position requires NV1 clearance, eligibility for ITAR access, and a tertiary engineering qualification, with on-site work at Williamtown. Strong stakeholder coordination is essential for success.

Qualifications

• NV1 clearance holder or eligible to access ITAR information.
• Tertiary engineering qualification.
• Experience in defence ILS/IPS practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide Product Management Support activities to support IIS and sustainment program.
• Monitor and report on status of POAM and Sustainment System Dashboard.
• Coordinate cross-functional governance across AIR6500, CAF14, CELGU, SRG and industry stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on risks, issues and mitigation strategies for the sustainment program.
• Support workforce planning and stand-up of Sustainment.
• Lead updates to the Sustainment Product Schedule and Integrated Product Management Plan.

Role Title:

Acquisition Sustainment Unit Product Management Support (PSO)

Role Description:

This position will provide Product Management Support to the ASU Lead (the JABMS In-Service Product Manager), including sustainment planning and program management, stakeholder coordination, financial management and sustainment program governance coordination.

Duties include;

• Provide Product Management Support activities to support the Introduction Into Service (IIS), and sustainment program activities as directed by Sustainment Management Unit Lead.


• Monitor and report on status of Sustainment Management Unit’s Implementation/Stand-up POAM and Sustainment System Dashboard to support team health/readiness and governance/reporting requirements.


• Coordinate support system governance activities across AIR6500, CAF14, CELGU, SRG and industry stakeholders.


• Provide advice on risks, issues, opportunities and mitigation strategies associated with ASU stand-up and the new sustainment program.


• Provide support to Sustainment Workforce planning and stand-up.


• Lead update and integration of Sustainment program’s Product Schedule / Integrated Product Management Plan, including ensuring appropriate integration to the Acquisition program’s Integrated Project Management Plan.


• Lead development of MoUs required between ADS Branch, ASSC Branch and SRG for the sustainment program.


• Assist with development and/or update to other CoA Orders, Instructions and Procedures to document new support system – in consultation with HQ SRG and S&CSPO teams.


• Coordinate sustainment budget activities with CAF14 and AIR6500 Finance Managers.


• Coordinate inputs to DMFP activities for AIR6500 sustainment.


• Coordinate financial and performance reporting required by AIR6500, ADSB, S&CSPO and governance boards.


• Lead development and implementation of sustainment financial management processes and governance arrangements.


• Actively participate in assigned AIR6500 program meetings and Working Groups / IPTs to support transition to service and initial sustainment.


• Provide support to organisational change management for Agile and new support system (education program).

Essential Requirements:

• AGSVA NV1 Clearance


• Eligible to access US Export Controlled (ITAR) information


• Tertiary Engineering Qualification


• Able to attend RAAF Williamtown 5 days per week


• Worked in complex acquisition or sustainment environments


• Experience in Defence ILS/IPS practice
