Job summary

Pinpoint Talent, LLC is seeking an experienced APS6 Project Scheduler for a Federal Government Agency in Australia on an initial 12-month contract. Roles can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Canberra with hybrid or remote work options.

You will provide expert scheduling advice, lead planning activities to develop and maintain project schedules, manage dependencies, report on timelines, and forecast resource needs to support governance and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in portfolio management within a government environment.
• Experience leading planning activities to drive development and maintenance of project schedules.
• Certifications in PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK, MSP or related methodology preferred.

Responsibilities

Initial 12-month contract | Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne location | Hybrid or remote

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced APS6 Project Scheduler for a Federal Government Agency, on an initial 12-month contract. You can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Canberra and they offer hybrid working with 1-2 days in the office per week. They may also consider remote working for this role.

In this role you will provide expert advice on program and project scheduling and lead planning activities to drive the development and maintenance of project schedules to gather updates, coordinate timelines and forecast resource needs to ensure effective time management and successful project delivery. Services may include schedule development and maintenance, dependency management, project reporting, and the production of project artefacts that support effective governance and delivery outcomes.

They are ideally looking for someone with the following experience;

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and at least five years' experience of portfolio management within a government environment.
• Scheduling, program or project management certification in PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK, MSP or related methodology.
• Technical expertise using a range of data base programs specifically Microsoft Excel.
