Job summary

KBR's Adelaide team is seeking a Project Risk Controls Specialist to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure project that will strengthen South Australia's future water security.

You’ll identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities, providing insights to drive informed decisions and successful outcomes across the project lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with project teams and stakeholders on risk reporting, mitigation and continuous improvement of risk frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience applying risk management principles within a project delivery environment.
  • Sound understanding of project controls disciplines, including risk, cost and schedule management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate risk information effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
  • Experience using risk management and project controls systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex project environment.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure, water, utilities, energy, resources or major capital projects will be highly regarded.
  • Candidates must hold full Australian work rights and currently reside or willing to self-relocate to Adelaide.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of project risk management processes, procedures and tools across the project.
  • Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with project stakeholders.
  • Maintain project risk registers and ensure risk information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Assist project teams in monitoring and managing project risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development and tracking of risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards and metrics for project and management teams.
  • Collaborate with cost, schedule and project controls teams to integrate risk information into project reporting and forecasting.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on risk management best practice.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management frameworks, tools and processes.
