A government department in New South Wales is seeking a Project Officer (Aboriginal) to join their talent pool. Our Department is rapidly expanding, and we are searching for proactive and motivated team members to join our project teams within the Department Customer Service NSW.

These talent pools are for the employment of an Aboriginal person in line with the Department’s Aboriginal Employment Strategy.

As a Project Officer, you can expect to work as a team and undertake a range of project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects to meet business objectives, with a lens of culturally informed project research, analysis, reporting, and implementation.

A typical day of work for you might include:

  • Coordinate and implement a range of projects applying sound project management principles.
  • Develop and maintain customer, stakeholders and vendor relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
  • Coordinating working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion.
  • Preparing and maintaining project related documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to achievement of the project outcomes and identification of emerging issues.
  • Undertaking research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.

Essential Requirement: This is an Identified role and evidence of Aboriginality is required.
