Job description

We are looking to engage a skilled Project Manager to join our client within the Energy sector seeking a full time role.

Contract Length: 12 months with extension options.

Australian Citizenship is highly regarded for this position.

We are seeking a delivery-focused Project Manager to lead the implementation of a critical Utility Server solution.

This infrastructure is vital for enabling communication with new solar systems across the ACT via the CSIP-AUS protocol.

You will manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation and detailed planning through to execution and closing.

The primary goal is to ensure the Utility Server can effectively manage flexible exports and curtail solar generation during emergency grid events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Governance: Establish delivery approaches and detailed planning for the Utility Server initiative.
  • System Integration: Coordinate complex integrations between the Utility Server, Consumer Energy Resources (CER) Portals, and Distributed Energy Management Systems (DERMS).
  • Technical Coordination: Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless issuance of control signals and receipt of device telemetry.
  • Procurement & Implementation: Manage the procurement process for the Utility Server, ensuring support for diverse communication pathways including direct-to-device and aggregator clouds.
  • Stakeholder & Risk Management: Navigate technical and regulatory streams while managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Handover: Support the transition into delivery and final operational handover to network operations teams.
Essential Experience
  • Complex Integrations: Proven track record delivering complex system integration projects, specifically those involving server/client communications.
  • Full Lifecycle Management: Extensive experience managing enterprise-grade technical platforms from initiation through to closing.
  • Utility Environment: Strong ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders and subject matter experts within a regulated utility or similar environment.
Desirable Experience
  • Direct experience with the CSIP-AUS protocol.
  • Professional background involving ADMS or DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems).
  • Experience integrating third-party services or OEM communication clients into enterprise systems.
  • Previous experience in a consulting or advisory delivery capacity.
