Job summary

Capstone Recruitment is partnering with a leading NSW Government agency to support social and affordable housing policy, strategy and reform across multiple projects in Sydney. The role focuses on governance, EOIs, stakeholder engagement, and policy evidence-based advice to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong policy development capability and strategic delivery experience in government.
• Cultural capability and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build credibility at all levels.
• Experience in complex policy or reform environments with evidence-based advice.
• Knowledge of legislation and government processes relevant to housing or public sector environments.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision across multiple projects.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and delivering quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial governance and reporting across development and construction initiatives.
• Manage Expressions of Interest (EOI) processes for development and construction projects.
• Coordinate management agreements with Community Housing Providers (CHPs).
• Prepare executive reporting, presentations, briefs and evidence-based advice for review by senior staff.
• Support project planning and coordination, including tracking actions, timelines and deliverables.
• Collate, analyse and synthesise information to support policy and project outcomes.
• Coordinate the flow of information and manage processes across multiple workstreams.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, coordinating input and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Contribute to the delivery of policy, strategy and reform initiatives aligned with organisational priorities.
• Work collaboratively across the Housing Strategy and Policy team and the broader agency to deliver outcomes.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels
• Experience in, or exposure to, complex policy or reform environments, including the ability to analyse information and contribute to evidence-based advice
• Knowledge of legislation and government processes relevant to housing or similar public sector environments
• The ability to work with minimal supervision across multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines on time-critical projects
• A high level of attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality outcomes
