Job summary

Qantas is seeking a Project Manager for a fixed-term role at the Mascot Campus in Sydney. You will lead complex cross-functional initiatives, ensuring outcomes align with strategic priorities and program governance.

A strong focus on risks, dependencies and stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams is essential. You’ll bring 4+ years of technical project management experience and tertiary qualifications, with a track record in enterprise risk, governance, or technology uplift

Job Description

  • Lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring outcomes are aligned to strategic business objectives and Qantas Group priorities
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and project governance across multiple workstreams, managing risks, dependencies, resources, and key milestones to deliver successful project outcomes
  • Fixed Term position based at our Mascot Campus

The Project Manager will lead projects with significant strategic and tactical impact, including enterprise risk, governance, technology and business transformation initiatives. The role is responsible for ensuring project outcomes are aligned to Qantas Group priorities and delivered in support of broader business objectives.

The Project Manager will coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, managing resources, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and deliverables. Success in the role will require strong engagement with senior stakeholders, team members, specialist partners and external providers, as well as the need to network internally to achieve project objectives, clear roadblocks, support decision-making and maintain delivery momentum.

You’ll have –

  • 4+ years of Technical Project Management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field
  • Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional projects
  • Experience leading enterprise risk, governance, cyber or technology uplift initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage governance, reporting, risks, issues, dependencies and decision pathways
  • Able to work cross-functionally and align business unit processes to enterprise processes
  • Experience coordinating workstreams across assessment, data, communications and business readiness
