Job summary

RoadTek Wide Bay, a commercial arm of the Department of Transport and Main Roads, seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive multiple civil infrastructure projects across the region. This temporary full-time role runs until February 2027, with extension potential, enabling immediate impact while expanding leadership and project delivery expertise.

  • Lead delivery of road, bridge and civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, timeframes, quality requirements and resources.
  • Develop estimates, tenders and bid submissions for infrastructure works.
  • Coordinate project teams and provide leadership to employees and contractors.
  • Foster relationships with clients, stakeholders and operations teams.
  • Monitor performance and implement strategies to meet outcomes.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, procurement and operational compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to business objectives.

RoadTek Wide Bay is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the delivery of civil construction and maintenance projects across the region. From planning and tendering through to project delivery, you'll lead teams, build strong stakeholderrelationships, and help deliver vital infrastructure that communities rely on every day.

As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering multiple civil infrastructure projects while ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently and within budget.

You will:

  • Lead the delivery of road, bridge and civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, timeframes, quality requirements and resource allocation.
  • Develop estimates, tenders and bid submissions for infrastructure works.
  • Coordinate project teams and provide leadership, guidance and support to employees and contractors.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and operational teams.
  • Monitor project performance and implement strategies to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, procurement and operational requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to business performance objectives.

You are a proactive leader who enjoys delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You have strong project management capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience leading civil construction or maintenance projects.

  • Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
