Job summary

Capstone Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead build construction projects in Canberra valued between $50m and $200m. The role focuses on delivering complex programs on time, within budget, and to high quality and compliance standards.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients, mentor a high-performing team, manage programs and costs, and report progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing construction projects valued at $50m+
• Minimum 7 years' experience delivering major construction projects within the Building environment
• Strong commercial acumen with deep knowledge of construction methodologies and project controls
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities in high-pressure environments
• Proficiency in construction software and project management tools

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager ideally with a strong background in within the build construction projects from $50m - $200m. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a history of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery experience
• Develop and manage detailed project programs, budgets, and resource plans
• Coordinate across key stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
• Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, building codes, and safety requirements
• Mentor and manage a high-performing project team, promoting a collaborative culture
• Provide clear and timely reporting to senior leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes

About You
