Job summary

FourQuarters Recruitment is partnering with a leading infrastructure and services group in Sydney's Western Suburbs to appoint a Project Accountant. You will report to the Head of Finance and oversee monthly financial statements for project entities, with variance analysis and cash flow management.

The ideal candidate is CA/CPA qualified with at least five years in management or project accounting, has experience in Industrial Services, Manufacturing or Infrastructure projects, and is proficient

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with professional accounting designation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management or project accounting.
• Experience in Industrial Services, Manufacturing or Infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience with SAP or a comparable Tier 1 ERP is highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements for project entities and subsidiaries
• Monthly management and shareholder reporting with variance analysis and commentaries
• Cash flow management and liquidity monitoring
• Liaison with finance teams, project teams, joint venture partners and external auditors
• Tax compliance – BAS, GST, payroll tax and income tax
• Fixed asset register management and reconciliations
• Expense system administration and internal control over financial reporting

Due to their recent growth, a newly created Project Accountant role has arisen. You will report into the Head of Finance and have the following responsibilities:

• Preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements for project entities and subsidiaries
• Monthly management and shareholder reporting with variance analysis and commentaries
• Cash flow management and liquidity monitoring
• Liaison with various stakeholders including finance teams, project teams, joint venture partners and external auditors

About You

• CA/CPA qualified
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Management Accounting or Project Accounting based environment
• Experience working in Industrial Services, Manufacturing or Infrastructure Projects
• Experience with SAP or a comparable Tier 1 ERP will be held in high regard
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail, motivated and curious
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
