Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects Australia (CPP) is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Transmission Lines team on high voltage EPC projects. You will provide delivery and engineering support, help develop design aspects, and assist with procurement, site construction, and commissioning activities across multiple regional sites.

The role requires experience with overhead/transmission lines and strong EPC project management knowledge. Travel to regional locations is expected as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering.
• Experience with overhead/transmission lines.
• Understanding of EPC project management including design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery and engineering for high voltage projects.
• Assist in project management activities and design development (primary/secondary).
• Contribute to procurement, site construction support and quality systems implementation.
• Assist with tendering, ITPs/ITCs, reporting and testing/commissioning activities.

Transmission Lines

CPP delivers high-voltage transmission line solutions up to 500kV, with a focus on substation connections.

We offer world-leading, internationally supported live-line capabilities – upgrading existing lines without outages, a service unmatched in Australia. Our in-house engineering team provides full transmission line design services, covering civil, structural, foundation, and electrical line design.

With expertise in overhead line stringing and conductor replacement, our transmission line capability is a key part of CPP’s end-to-end, one-stop solution for clients.

The Opportunity

As we embark on an exciting period of delivering multiple EPC projects, we are currently recruiting a Project Engineer to join our Transmission Lines team.

Our Project Engineers assist in providing delivery and engineering support on high voltage projects; specifically, project management support, developing aspects of the design (primary and/or secondary), procurement, site construction support, quality systems implementation, tendering support, creating ITP's/ITC's, reporting and testing/commissioning support and are responsible to the Project Manager as part of the project team for the completion of High Voltage system design and construction.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical engineering
• Previous experience with overhead/transmission lines
• Working knowledge of EPC project management including design, procurement, construction and commissioning;
• The ability to solve problems and make good decisions in a timely manner, consulting others when appropriate;
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and actively upskill, with the ability to adapt to a new industry
