Job summary

Queensland Government through RoadTek Sunshine Coast is seeking a motivated Project Engineer (Civil) to support road construction and maintenance projects. Working under supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), you will help deliver infrastructure that benefits Queensland communities.

You will assist with planning, budgeting, procurement and reporting, while developing your project management capability in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and customer-focused outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist planning, coordination and delivery of construction and maintenance projects.
  • Support project budgeting, programming, monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of estimates, tenders and commercial submissions.
  • Assist with procurement activities, including sourcing project services and materials.
  • Apply project management principles and systems to improve project performance and outcomes.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
