Job summary

Vaughan Civil is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Sydney team. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of four years of civil engineering experience, with at least three years in the utility and infrastructure sector.

You will coordinate all aspects of projects, ensuring safety, quality, budget and schedule are met, while leading teams and maintaining client communications. We offer career progression, paid overtime when required on Saturdays, a friendly environment, and an employee

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years civil engineering experience.
• At least 3 years in utility and infrastructure sector.
• Ability to coordinate all aspects of a project and deliver construction requirements on safety, quality, budget & time.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice.
• Experience preparing claims and managing disputes.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Experience attending project meetings and providing progress updates.
• Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

The Role:

We are seeking a Project Engineerto join our team in Sydney. The successful applicant must have a minimum 4 years civil engineering experience with 3 years specifically related to the utility and infrastructure sector.

Competencies Required for the Role:

• Demonstrated civil engineering experience in the utility and infrastructure sector
• Ability to coordinate all aspects of a projects and deliver key construction requirements in line with safety, quality, budget & time
• Knowledge of the relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice
• Understanding contractual agreements, preparing claims and dispute management
• Expert leadership and negotiation skills
• Attending project meetings, preparing progress updates, and maintaining clear communication with clients.
• Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
• Keeping track of and reporting project progression, identifying potential risks, and devising strategies for risk mitigation.
