Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks a Civil/Project Engineer or Project Manager to lead planning, development, implementation and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects across the state. You’ll join a team delivering programs that connect communities and keep people and goods moving.

Based in Dubbo with flexibility for other NSW locations, the role emphasises project management, contract administration and stakeholder engagement, requiring a relevant degree and a current Australian Driver Licence.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering discipline.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Experience applying project management principles in engineering/infrastructure environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting contract administration and project delivery activities.

  • Plan, develop, implement and manage civil infrastructure projects across Transport for NSW.
  • Coordinate project activities and manage competing priorities to deliver within scope, budget and timeframe.
  • Engage with stakeholders and manage contract administration as part of project delivery.

In this role, you'll:

Working as part of the team delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Transport for NSW, this role will see you contribute to the planning, development, implementation and management of projects that help connect communities and keep people and goods moving across the state.

You’ll gain exposure to project delivery, contract administration, stakeholder engagement, engineering design processes and infrastructure outcomes within one of Australia's largest transport programs.

Your project management, engineering and stakeholder engagement skills, formed across civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, transport, consulting or related industries, will see you excel in coordinating project activities, managing competing priorities and supporting the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget and timeframe requirements.

You’ll bring a proactive and customer-focused approach to project delivery that supports quality outcomes for communities across NSW.

This role is currently based in Dubbo, however applications will be considered for applicants able to work from other locations such as Wagga Wagga and Parkes.

About you

You hold experience applying project management principles in an engineering or infrastructure environment. Hold strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experienced supporting contract administration and project delivery activities.

Currently hold a degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering discipline and a current valid Australian Driver Licence with a willingness to travel occasionally as required.
