Job summary

Remuneration between $80,000 and $100,000 will be offered to the successful applicant. Minimum 1 year in a similar role and tertiary engineering qualifications are required.

Job description

Delta Group is seeking a confident and capable construction professional with exceptional project management skills and a thorough understanding of quality, safety and environmental performance excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Civil and structural engineering and project management.Development and implementation of project management plans
• Comply with Delta Group’s triple certified QSE management systems
• Interpretation and interrogation of drawings
• Knowledge and application of relevant Australian Standards as they apply to piling and foundations, and civil construction
• Risk assessment and management
• Project set up – scope, programme, method and budget
• Sequencing and staging development and approvals
• Accurate cost tracking and production tracking according to budget
• Documentation development - specification review and quality assurance
• Client and key stakeholder engagement. Management of project related subcontractors, suppliers and/or consultants
• Liaison with Site Supervisor/Foreman
• Procurement and purchasing, including contract management for all projects
• Estimate and variation development, including work hours, costs and quantities
• Planning, progress monitoring and reporting, including audits and/or inspections
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QSE management systems
• Relevant construction related qualifications, including tertiary engineering degrees
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Passion for people and their safety
• Demonstrated communication skills – verbal and written
• High level decision making and problem-solving skills
• Previous Geotech (piling and foundations) experience, including piling drill rigs and earthmoving plant and equipment
• Understanding of piling estimation processes
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
• High level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up
