Responsibilities

• Navigate the regulatory requirements of BESS projects and grid participation strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, First Nations groups, local councils, and planning authorities.
• Oversee the grid enquiry and connection process with AEMO and NSPs to secure Connection Agreements.
• Refine project business cases and manage budgets/timelines to ensure investment-ready status.
• Serve as the Australian market expert and align local execution with HQ standards.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Development Manager to lead the growth of our renewable energy portfolio across Solar and BESS in Australia. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of project development-- from greenfield origination and site identification through to planning approvals and financial close. This is a hands-on role requiring a strategic mindset to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and the ability to work collaboratively with our Headquarters in Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Development: Lead the full lifecycle of projectdevelopment, including site identification (greenfield), feasibilityassessments, and securing planning approvals.
• BESS Specialization: Navigate the unique technical and regulatoryrequirements of utility-scale battery projects, including grid stabilityand market participation strategies.
• Stakeholder Diplomacy: Build and maintain trust-based relationshipswith landowners, First Nations groups, local councils, and stateplanning authorities.
• Grid Connection Mastery: Oversee the grid enquiry and applicationprocess, working closely with AEMO and NSPs to secure viableConnection Agreements (GPS).
• Commercial Strategy: Refine project business cases and commercialmodels; manage budgets and timelines to ensure projects are"investment-ready.".
• HQ Collaboration: Serve as the Australian market expert, providingregular strategic updates to overseas HQ and aligning local executionwith global standards.

Experience and Skills:

• Australian Market Expert: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience inrenewable energy development specifically within the AustralianNational Electricity Market (NEM) or WEM (Whole Electricity Market).
• BESS Literacy: Deep understanding of Battery Storage development,including land requirements, fire safety regulations, and gridconnection nuances.
• Proven Track Record: History of successfully taking projects through DA(Development Application) approval and towards Financial Close.
• Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability totranslate complex Australian regulatory hurdles into clear strategicoptions for HQ.
