Job summary

Northern Territory Government seeks a skilled geoscientist for a two-year fixed-term role in Regional Geoscience, NT Geological Survey. Based in Darwin or Alice Springs, you will work to unlock mineral and energy potential by applying data science and geospatial techniques to NT geoscience data.

The Northern Territory offers an exceptional opportunity to work across vast, diverse and underexplored geological regions. Join the Northern Territory Geological Survey and transform complex geological, geophysical, and geochemical information into new exploration insights using your geological, data science, programming, and geospatial skills. You will develop innovative approaches to data integration, analysis and visualisation to support mineral and energy explorers across the Territory.

This opportunity will suit a geologist who enjoys solving complex problems, working collaboratively and applying emerging analytical, computational and AI techniques to extract meaningful insights from geoscientific data.

Located in Darwin or Alice Springs, the role offers 12% superannuation, six weeks recreational leave, three weeks personal leave and 17.5% annual leave loading.
