Job summary

AusNet in Melbourne is seeking a Project Controller to drive financial governance across Transmission Delivery projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers to plan finances, monitor spending and ensure governance compliance, delivering data-driven insights for strategic decisions.

This full-time role with a 3/2 hybrid split is based in Malvern, within the Transmission PMO & Commercial team, shaping Victoria's energy future with a collaborative, high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in Energy industry advantageous.
• Knowledge of procurement and contract management processes.
• Ability to manage stakeholder engagement and communication effectively.
• Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage project expenditure to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Provide financial governance and reporting for project portfolios.
• Support risk management and compliance within Transmission Development & Delivery.
• Establish and maintain cost control, change control and procurement processes.
• Ensure project stakeholders adhere to governance frameworks.
• Deliver financial reporting, asset valuation, variance analysis, and stakeholder insights.

You'll provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making, oversee risk and cost controls, and enhance financial transparency across major infrastructure projects.
