Flexible working arrangements Career progression opportunities Support to work towards achieving professional industry registrations Project Civil Engineer Our client is an established engineering consultancy with a strong pipeline of Commercial Industrial projects across NSW.

They are now seeking a Project Civil Engineer who can take ownership of design packages, contribute to larger multidisciplinary projects, and collaborate closely with senior technical leaders.

This position is well suited to an Engineer with around five years of consultancy experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating with project teams and engaging directly with clients.

Role Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality civil and stormwater designs for medium to large developments.
• Assist senior engineers with major projects by contributing to modelling, documentation and overall design coordination.
• Coordinate regularly with clients, external consultants, authorities and internal project teams.
• Use industry software such as DRAINS, MUSIC and HEC‑RAS for modelling and analysis.
• Undertake flood modelling, review flood behaviour, and prepare site‑specific flood studies.
• Develop detailed earthworks and site grading plans in accordance with relevant technical guidance.
• Design rigid and flexible pavements in line with Austroads recommendations and other recognised standards.
• Prepare documentation packages for civil engineering works and support quality checks with drafting and project management teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years in a civil design consultancy or similar environment.
• Demonstrated experience producing civil and stormwater designs.
• Practical experience using stormwater and civil design tools (e.g. DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC‑RAS).
• Familiarity with Sydney / NSW stormwater policies is a strong advantage.
• Confident engaging with clients, authorities and project partners, both technical and non-technical.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability, with a proactive approach to design challenges.

Current Australian driver’s licence.
